Blunt trauma chest; Blunt trauma abdomen; Traumatic right sided diaphragm rupture Abstract Traumatic rupture of the right dome of the diaphragm is an uncommon clinical entity. The diagnosis is difficult due to lack of specificity in clinical signs and chest film findings. متن کاملLaparoscopic Repair of a Ruptured Diaphragm: Avoiding a Trauma Laparotomy
Background: A traumatic diaphragm rupture presents a unique obstacle to a minimally invasive surgical approach; most repairs are performed during an emergency laparotomy. Diaphragm injuries are diagnosed in the acute phase of blunt-force trauma in only 10% of cases, and a high index of suspicion must be maintained to avoid strangulation of the abdominal organs that have herniated into the thora...

متن کاملA delayed traumatic right diaphragmatic hernia with hepatothorax
A traumatic right diaphragmatic rupture is an uncommon condition, as it occurs in 0.8-3.6% after blunt trauma. It is challenging to find the diagnosis immediately and is illustrated by the incidence of 12-66% initially missed diagnosis (1). Most blunt traumatic diaphragm ruptures are an indication for early aggressive surgical intervention by way of thoracotomy, laparotomy, or both if it is nec...

Splenic arteriography allows the organ to be clearly demonstrated and the condition of the parenchyrna to be assessed. The methode allows traumatic lesions to be easily diagnosed. The most common reliable signs are escape of contrast medium from the torn spenic arteries and lacunar appearance in the parenchyma. Other signs, such as early venous filling or antero-posterior and median displacemen...
